With the long ageing process the whiskey has developed dark tones and the traditional characteristics of aged whiskies being rich and strong aromatics. | Curiosity Gin Recipe 23First released for Negroni Week 2017, Negroni Special is distilled from a malted barley base spirit with additional juniper, spice and orange citrus, then barrel rested in new French oak barrels and bottled at high strength. This gin is designed with a perfect Negroni in mind from start to finish and also works perfectly as a straight sipper or in many old style cocktails.Recipe #23 is a botanical forward, contemporary style gin pairing a slightly sweeter malt base spirit with well rounded citrus, floral and oriental spice botanicals.Distilled in-house starting with malted canterbury barley and finished with 11 botanicals including a generous helping of East Coast Manuka, fresh citrus and Otago lavender.
