ContentBeautiful golden-straw color; ripe melon, peach and citrus aromas; lush and full on the palate; delicious apple flavors with accents of coconut and vanilla in the finish; truly a delightful chardonnay. This item is available for Gift Wrap.Made by the ever reliable De Bortoli crew from across the ditch, the “FS” (Family Selection) range of wines are approachable, crowd pleasing styles that won’t break the bank.Their Sparkling Brut is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes and, in their own words, is “Crisp, charming and very chic“. When we saw this just picked up a Silver medal at the New World Wine Awards and up for grabs for a little over a tenner, we thought there’s no way we can let this one slip by. Clay Creek Vineyards is a winery that has been cultivating grapes since 1924 and is proudly owned by a family. The family firmly believes in sustainable farming practices and takes their responsibility of caring for the earth seriously by utilizing environmentally sensitive farming techniques. Their wines are crafted using grapes sourced from exceptional vineyards in California and are bottled at their own sustainable winery, which is a testament to their commitment to quality and sustainability. This wine is meticulously crafted from carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced from premium vineyards in Lodi. It is then skillfully bottled at Clay Creek's sustainable winery, where the family's dedication to sustainability and their passion for winemaking converge to create a truly exceptional product.Trivento Sparkling Brut is a sparkling wine produced by Trivento, a renowned winery in Argentina. It is made using the traditional method, also known as the méthode champenoise, which involves a secondary fermentation in the bottle to create the sparkling effect.Trivento Sparkling Brut is known for its crisp and refreshing character, with delicate bubbles and vibrant acidity. It offers flavors of green apple, citrus, and white flowers, making it an excellent choice for celebrations or as an aperitif. At the southern tip of Africa, along the brooding, craggy coastline of the southern Cape, two mighty but opposing oceans meet - the one cold, the other, warm. The impact is immense. It affects the climate, the coastline and areas inland, and the influence on the vineyards of the Western Cape is significant. The Atlantic Ocean that flows along the west coast of Africa is fed by the icy Benguela current from the South Pole. The Indian Ocean is fed by the Agulhas current coming from the tropics. Their connection, amidst crashing waves and soaring spray, creates a unique set of conditions.Whether along the coast or further inland, the presence of the oceans is never far away. Cooling sea breezes and mists can lower temperatures during the lead-up to the harvest, slowing down ripening. Grapes aren't hurried but develop in their own time with flavours that are balanced, intense and plentiful. The colour and tannins of the wine are delicately extracted by employing traditional vinification methods and long maceration (20 days). The resulting wine combines power and refinement. It exhibits a deep purple-crimson robe, a nose of violets and ripe red fruits with hints of vanilla oak. A structured wine with an ample, round finish enhanced by liquorice tannins.
